Sentosa
Yeah my exams are OVER! Woohoo, viva la fiesta. I had dinner with Pheaktra and Joyce yesterday evening. Really good seeing her again after almost a year or more! Her English accent is stronger and obviously better than mine, keep up the good work! We had dinner at Botak Jones, the portion was large worth the money. We chit chat non stop and took photos. It was a great time :) really hopes to hang out together more often.
I went Sentosa with Carol and Nessa today. It was a memorable day. My mood was totally uplifted; happy the whole time. We had an early start meet at 10plus head down to Sentosa taking the mono-rail. I had wanted to go Sentosa for a long time, the last time I went there was in primary school. Obviously there were many changes to the place, I could hardly recognize any landmarks. We past by the merlion and after Carol made that comment ¡°it simply looks like a cross over of lion with Egyptian mummy¡± I sort of think so too. Haha..
We took the inter island shuttle bus around (red, blue and yellow line). We took the blue line to go Underwater World; we had our lunch at subway first. One of my favorites turkey meat with all the other vegetables except olives along with sweet onion and honey mustard sauce in 6 inch bread, it taste so healthy and heavenly. The sprite did not taste like sprite at all! Luckily I could change it. Nessa and I had chocolate chip cookie too, how can we miss it? : ) little things in life does make me happy
As we were walking to the underwater world entrance, there was this Indian man playing the flute. I was thinking to myself, strange why the tune sounds like that of a snake charmer does. So I walk pass him, Nessa say ¡°eee look!!¡± I turn and Oh my Goodness save me! I saw SNAKE! Instantly I felt the adrenaline I went ¡°WAAA pao ar¡± and ran for 1 meter before stopping to wait for them to arrive. They were laughing, I laughed too but can¡¯t be help I must run, it was an involuntary reaction.
The corals are breath taking, reminds me of the urge to go scuba diving at Maldives. The luminous fishes, angel fish, clown fish are so pretty, imagine to swim among them. But not the scary blue mouth fish, huge XL size fish and sharks NOO. We saw the dugong (sea cow) too, don¡¯t know why dugong reminds me of fertility. I guess the Underwater world is the part which I remember other than the Siloso beach that I visited with my mom and my aunt (her youngest sister) when I was 8. It amazing to see the sea creatures swim pass you, left, right and even over you.
We made it just in time to watch the dolphin lagoon to watch the pink dolphin performance. They are so intelligent and adorable, it¡¯s a little pity to see them being restricted in the lagoon, tamed like a pet. After which we head off to Palawan beach, the sand at the coast was so soft. I was jumping with all my might on it Haha.. The wind was so strong my hair was flying all over. Carol took a lot of pictures of us Haha.. Soon there was a downpour so we took shelter under the tent and listen to music. The rain ended as soon as it came, we crossed the bridge (it reminds me of pirates of the Caribbean).
We went to the Siloso beach and went sightseeing in the beach tram. Laughing and talking until we reach our destination; the Luge. We took the nature skyride, it was in continuously moving motion so we had to hop on to it quickly. It was the first time, I sat on something like this. Totally open, reminds me of what I saw on the TV when people are going to the top of the snow hill for skiing. It was so airy to be lifted above the ground so high and nice to see the greeneries to see them right below our foot. I wore sandals especially for this, worried that it might slip off, the two girls were in slippers worrying. Hehee. When we reached the Luge station, we had hop off the seats quickly and run a few steps to avoid the seat from knocking into us.
We wore the helmet and got on to the Luge, initially I was far behind them and this was my very first time sitting on a Luge. Later I was zooming, whizz pass the road and they were Woah look at whose leading now; py. Haha I was so scared that I will crash into them. Py is a potential dangerous driver! I braked so suddenly at the ending point of the curvy lanes that I came to a halt luckily it manage to move again.
It was time for us to return, we went to Vivo starbucks because we were craving for it. To my disappointment, there was no more banana java chip. This outlet¡¯s caramel frappachino is much better than the other one I tasted which made me strike off my drinking list, now it can resume its status. Haha.. We went to that expensive sporty sandal shop, I can¡¯t really remember the name I think it is new urban or something. The three of us like the shirts there, remind us of out childhood cartoons but it is simply too expensive $59.90! Carol bought a shirt for her boyfriend¡¯s birthday. I like the sandals and gorgeous pony t shirt! Btw, we met Amanda Cheok at outside th shop. We walked around the mall before taking the mrt train home together, Thanks to all my girlies, you all really make me smile.
