Hairspray

Catch hairspray with Nessa & Carol in the morning. They had other programs in the afternoon so we have to catch the movie real early. Initially two other friends were coming too but one call it off the day before we met because she has some school events. While the other wasn¡¯t too sure, no reply. Haha. Anyway, the movie was great! It did not disappoint me : ) I would give it a 4stars out of 5.

I think it is worth watching, this is one of the best hits in 2007. There are Transformers and Ratatouille and of course this movie. These movies are so my cup of tea, for me songs and movies are timeless so long they are great they are worth to be watch and listened to over and over again. To those that listen to music like following the fashion trend, we are not really in the same boat I guess. Haha.. Hairspray is presented in a musical form but please do not be put off at that thought because there are humour, romance and some message in it.

I think the messages were
1. be courageously and go with your heart, size and looks isn¡¯t that important when you have got what it takes
2. Pass the race barrier of whites and black
3. What goes around comes around, running on karma haha..

We are impressed by the songs and dance. I was also touched by the songs when the blacks community march down the streets making their voices heard. Tracy Tumblad (by Nikki Blonsky) was the dance crazy Baltimore teenager. Her voice rings loud and clear with her giving the opening of this movie with "Good morning Baltimore". Bright, campy and wonderfully light, "Hairspray" reminds us that fun comes in all shapes and sizes. It's also one of the few "event" movies this summer that doesn't outstay its welcome. It surprise me with the couple pairing, it is indeed unique. I think Zac Efron in this movie looks cute and the Brittany snow is pretty. How many guys in real life can be like him? Like a girl really base on his feelings and like her appearance that is different from want the society perceived as acceptable and pretty.

After which, we had lunch at Thai express, the tom yum noodle soup I had was good. We walk around for awhile and I bought a red singlet at marks and spencer, so lucky that it was their sale! Hehee..

I think he is back, of all times why must he come back? I do not ever want to see him again, I am in the process of getting better and he have to appear. Seeing him even just a name on the screen is enough to hurt to bring it all back. I am not a spare tyre, when you have no one else you turn to me? How dare you! You know how u left me feeling, loving someone that was in a rush to throw you away. Like what Sean and my friends said ¡°Do not ever get him back! He is worth every cent killing!¡± Joyce I am okay, no worries. Thanks for being there when I need you.
