Movie review - I am Legend

I¡¯ve watched this. Wonder why are there such adverse feedback about this movie? Either top rated or really poor ratings.
I Am Legend is a 1954 science fiction novel by Richard Matheson about the last man alive in a future Los Angeles overrun with vampires. Notable as influential on the developing modern zombie genre, in popularizing the fictional concept of a worldwide apocalypse due to disease, and in exploring the notion of vampirism as a disease. The novel was a success, and was adapted to film as The Last Man on Earth in 1964, as The Omega Man in 1971, and again in 2007 as I Am Legend. Also similar to 28days late, I guess.
I will give Will smith and the dog 4/5 for their acting skills, for being able to act by himself, the fear and anxiety he managed to portray without having any other actors/ actress interaction. Imagining that the computer graphical generated zombies are there and being able to portray the emotions so real.
This movie really got me thinking, oh man what would it be like living in a dead city driven to walls till he even talk to the mannequins. Will it be that basic that we have to go hunting for food just like the cavemen? And his only friend is his dog, who can't talk. And the dog saved him and died. And there was this part, the scariest part was he was in the dark building and his gun light shone on a group of panting zombies! The other eerie scene was Fred, the mannequin, placed in the middle of the road.
Hmm what I did not like about the movie was its abrupt ending. I didn¡¯t really mind about the main actor dying because sometimes certain stories are too perfect. So perfect to the point that it seems too unreal.
Uh noo~ school is starting tomorrow, my wonder chemical engineering. Gah!
