tae wang sa shin gi 太王四神記

I like this drama, initially when my cousin passed it to me with coffee prince dvd I thought it would be some junk drama. My dad even asked him to bring it back but he did not and say this drama is not bad. So it was left on the tv cabinet for sometime and I was not working so I was rotting at home therefore I decided to give it a try since there is no harm.
The story is based on a mix of legend and historical fact. It tells the story of the Great King Gwanggaeto of the Goguryeo Kingdom (37 B.C. to 668 A.D.) The story is very relevant today, striking a chord with Korean audiences mindful of history. Manchuria, the setting for the tale, is the subject of an intense territorial dispute between China and Korea. What’s also interesting is how this period drama blends fantasy into the narrative, instead of getting bogged down in historical accuracy. Magic spells and legend fill in where historical facts are hazy, which is why the Great King offers great entertainment rather than a dull history lesson.
Probably few people will share the liking for drama of such genre but I hope I will find someone who shares the same wavelength.
go watch it (:
Joyce omg I think this song is sang by dong bang shi kin.
When my sadness is thin like a withered flower
Unable to fall asleep because of these tangled years
I cling to the rough sigh
That would gnaw deeply into my heart
If I collected tears of a thousand years
Would it be enough to show my heart
At the end of the sky where the sunset glow has left
Today, I linger on again
As the frail sunshine of early dawn
Is woken up by last night's dream
My gloomy dreams of yesterday
Disappear into the legend
If I collected wishes of a thousand years
Would it be enough to show my heart
At the end of the field where the sunshine has left
Today, I linger on again
As the lone wandering low wind
Loses its way, breathing heavily,
I ease my sorrow in this world
With the raindrops of noon
If I collected love of a thousand years
Would it be enough to show my heart
At the end of the sky where the moonlight is sleeping
Today, I linger on again
If I collected longings of a thousand years
Would it be enough to show my heart
At the end of the field where the rising sun is shining
Today, I linger on again
