journey to the west!

Some updates about the new island.

We have to be there by 8am to board the bus and for some days we have to board the bus by 7am which means I have to wake up by 5 o’clock! We are issued island pass and walk through security checks and detector daily.

We are in a training school, we are issued a locker each and we have to wear our issued full uniform and boots. We have to wear it before lesson starts and even in the auditorium etc. Some even wear socks when we are in the bus to be on time. We are split into groups to do housekeeping for pantry, canteen area, auditorium, smoking area and toilet.

1 food court island wide (besides cafeterine inside the companies for their own employees). It takes roughly 10-15minutes to get there from our site if we are fast. Many of us decided to bring our own food for meals. Some brought staple food like cup noodles, bread, peanut butter, biscuits, energy bars etc. Maybe we are starting to understand why the pre NS boys are so worried about getting enlisted and sent off to Tekong.
